ViniVault/Apps
Search the records you own, from your phone
ViniVault keeps a private catalogue of your vinyl, with the sleeve next to each title. You can look a record up while you are standing in a shop, before you buy a copy you already have.

Write down the copy, not just the album name
Artist, title, and the pressing are the three facts that stop you buying a second copy by mistake. A sleeve makes the list readable at a glance. Condition and the price you paid can wait until the next time you play the record.
A paper list or a notes app usually stops at the album name. ViniVault keeps the pressing you chose, so a later reissue is not mixed up with the copy on your shelf.
The test is a shop or a fair. If you cannot look the record up with your phone in one hand, the catalogue is still at home.
What is worth recording on the first pass
Start with the artist and the title printed on the copy you own. If several pressings exist, choose the one that matches the label in your hand. A later reissue and an original are different rows when you own both, and one row when you own only one.
Leave gaps where you are unsure. An honest blank is better than a guessed catalogue number. You can add a note, a condition, or a price the next time the record is on the platter.
How this works in ViniVault
Search from Add Records, pick the pressing, and the record lands on your shelf with its sleeve. The same shelf opens on your phone after you add ViniVault to the home screen.
The shelf is private to your account. Notes, the price you paid, and the wishlist stay with you. The free shelf holds 100 records. Pro is £1.99 a month when the collection needs to grow past that.
