About
ViniVault is a private vinyl collection app
ViniVault catalogues the records you own and keeps that shelf private. You search for the album, save the pressing and the sleeve, and open the same vault from your phone. Your vinyl world — Vaulted.

What it is
ViniVault is a progressive web app for a personal record collection. It runs in the browser. After you sign in, you can add it to the home screen on an iPhone or an Android phone and open it like any other app. One account is the same shelf on a phone and on a computer.
It is built for collectors who want a catalogue of their own vinyl: albums, singles, EPs, compilations, and the odd white label. Each person has their own vault. Other people cannot browse your records, your notes, your prices, or your wishlist.
ViniVault is not a public profile, a social network, or a marketplace. You do not buy or sell records inside it. If a hunt or a map sends you to a shop or a listing, that purchase happens on the other site.
Who it is for
It is for someone with a shelf of records who wants to know what they own, what they paid, and what they are still looking for. That includes a first crate, a room of albums, a collection inherited from someone else, or a Discogs collection you want on your phone without leaving it public.
Prices are in pounds. Record-store and record-fair search uses a UK postcode or town. Collection value looks at Discogs in the first instance and can use recent eBay sales when Discogs has nothing for that record.

The catalogue
Add a record by searching for the artist and album, by scanning a barcode, or by typing it in when the search has no match. When several pressings exist, you pick the one that matches the copy in your hand. The sleeve saved for that record belongs to that pressing. If there is no picture, ViniVault leaves a placeholder rather than borrowing a cover from a different album. You can upload your own photo.
Track lists sit on the record. Collection search can find an album from a song. Notes, condition, a rating, and the price you paid stay on that copy. A typed price is the figure used for that record in the collection total.
Collection value
Statistics adds one guide price per record and shows a total for the shelf. Where you have typed a price, that number counts. Otherwise ViniVault uses a middle asking price on Discogs for a Very Good, Very Good Plus, or Near Mint copy, not the cheapest listing. If Discogs has nothing usable, it can use recent sold vinyl prices from eBay. The line under the total says how many records are included.
The total is a collector's guide. It is not a promise of what a shop or an insurer would pay, and it is not a formal valuation.
Discogs, shops, and fairs
If the collection already lives on Discogs, you can import it into your vault. Discogs stays as it is. The free shelf holds 100 records, and an import that would pass that line stops and tells you. You can also catalogue from scratch, with no Discogs account.
Discover includes a map of record stores and a search for record fairs, each within 10 miles of a postcode or town. Do I own it? checks the shelf and the wishlist while you are holding a record. Vinyl Hunter watches for a copy you have asked it to find. The wishlist is the list of records you do not own yet.

On your phone
Create an account, sign in, then add ViniVault to your home screen. The icon opens the same private vault. Use it at a record fair or in a shop: the wishlist is what you are hunting, and Do I own it? is the check before you buy a second copy.
You can export the collection as a CSV from Account when you want your own file. The legal pages cover terms, privacy, cookies, and the third-party services the catalogue uses.
