ViniVault/Phone
A vinyl collection app for UK collectors
ViniVault prices in pounds, looks at eBay UK when a Discogs price is missing, and talks about record fairs and shops the way a UK shelf does.

Pounds, fairs, and a private shelf
Collection value is a guide in pounds. If you typed what you paid, that figure counts, including zero. Otherwise the guide uses a middle Discogs asking price for a Very Good, Very Good Plus, or Near Mint copy. When Discogs has nothing usable, recent eBay UK sales of that album on vinyl can fill the gap.
Pro is £1.99 a month for an unlimited shelf. The free shelf is 100 records, which is enough to learn the app on a real crate. The price is for the account, and the same account works on a phone and a computer.
The shelf does not mind where the record was pressed. British pressings, imports, and records you bought abroad are catalogued the same way: search, barcode, or by hand. The currency of the guide stays pounds.
Shops and fairs, not only the shelf
Discover can look for record stores and record fairs from a UK postcode or town, within about ten miles. That is a way to plan a Saturday. It is not a public map of your collection.
Take the phone to the shop. Do I own it? checks the shelf and the wishlist. The wishlist stays off the value of the collection until you actually own the record.
How this works in ViniVault
Create an account, add the site to the home screen, and catalogue the records you have. Type prices you know. Leave the rest to the guide, and read the count under the total so a partial sum is not mistaken for a complete one.
The vault is private. A UK collector does not need a public profile in order to keep a catalogue.
Questions
- Can I catalogue records I bought abroad?
- Yes. Search or add by hand. The currency of the guide is pounds, whatever the shop charged on the day.
- Does the free shelf count singles as well as albums?
- Yes. Each record you add counts towards the 100, whether it is a single, an LP, or a box set you have catalogued as one item.
