Search a vinyl collection by artist, album, or track

A title fragment, or an artist you are sure about, should be enough to get close. Exact memory of a catalogue number is rare, and the search does not demand it. Type what you remember.

Search covers what you own. It is not a search of every record in the world, and it is not the way you add a record. Adding is a separate step: search the catalogues, scan a barcode, or type the record in, then save it to the shelf.

Tracks on the record are included, which is how a song finds a compilation or a B-side finds a single. If the track list is missing, that song will not be there to find. A note can hold a B-side the list missed.

The main search is the collection. Do I own it? checks both the shelf and the wishlist, which is the right tool in a shop, because you need to know whether you have it or whether you meant to find it.

A search of your shelf will not show a record you have not catalogued, even if you are sure it is in the house. That silence is useful. It means the box in the corner is still to do, not that the app has lost the record.

The collection search box is on the shelf after you sign in. Use it at home and on the phone. Open the app before you lose signal in a shop, so the shelf is already there to search.

Spelling can be approximate. The pressing still needs a look at the label when a title returns more than one copy.
