ViniVault/Starting

A free vinyl collection app

ViniVault's free shelf holds 100 records. That includes search, sleeves, a wishlist, and Discogs import up to that line.

A real shelf before you pay

A hundred records is enough to catalogue a crate and see whether you will keep using the app. You can search, keep sleeves, hold a wishlist, and import from Discogs up to that line. Browsing and editing stay open after that.

Adding past 100, including the rest of a large import, is Pro at £1.99 a month. The free shelf is not a timed trial. The records you have already added stay in the account. The limit is on new additions.

A Discogs import that would pass 100 stops and tells you, rather than quietly dropping the rest or deleting what you already have. You can see the shelf you started before you decide the collection needs more room.

What free includes

The same account works on a phone and a computer. Add the site to the home screen if you want an icon. Notes, the price you paid, condition, and the wishlist are part of cataloguing, not a separate paid list.

Collection value is a guide for the records that have a price: your typed figure, otherwise a middle Discogs asking price, otherwise a recent sale when Discogs has nothing usable. It is not a formal valuation, on the free shelf or on Pro.

How this works in ViniVault

Create an account and add records until you reach the free line. There is no charge for those 100. Move to Pro only if the collection needs to grow past them.

Singles, albums, and box sets you enter as one item each count towards the hundred. The wishlist does not. Wants are not owned records.

Questions

Is the free shelf a trial that deletes my records?
No. The records stay. The cap is on adding more than 100. You can still open, edit, and search the shelf you have.
Does the wishlist count towards the 100?
No. The limit is on records you add to the collection. The wishlist is separate.
