ViniVault/Starting
Catalogue your first 100 records
The first hundred are the crate you can see. ViniVault's free shelf is sized for that start.

Pick a crate and finish it
Choose one box, not the whole room. Add the artist and the title, then the next record. Perfection on record one is how people stop. You can edit a pressing, a note, or a price later, when the record is in your hand and you have more patience.
Leave condition and price for the copies where you know them. Empty fields are allowed. A typed price, when you do know it, replaces the guide for that copy. A blank does not invent a number you never agreed to, until a usable guide price exists.
The first hundred are a finished crate you can search. That is more useful than a perfect catalogue of ten records and a guilty glance at the rest of the room.
What 'done' means for a first crate
Each record has an artist and a title, the pressing if you could see it, and a sleeve that is the right one, your photo, or a placeholder. A wrong cover is not a bonus. Skip it.
Put anything you notice is missing on the wishlist, not on the shelf. Then the first hundred are records you own. The wants can grow without pretending to be property.
How this works in ViniVault
Create an account and use Add Records for that crate: search, barcode, or by hand. Stop at 100 on the free shelf, or continue on Pro at £1.99 a month if the box was bigger than you thought.
Add the site to the home screen before you put the records away, so the next session starts from the icon rather than from a search for the website.
Questions
- Which hundred should I add first?
- The ones you play, plus any you would be upset to lose. The rest can follow.
- Do I have to price all 100 before the shelf is useful?
- No. A searchable list is already useful. Add prices as you know them. The total will say how many records are included.
