ViniVault/Starting

Open your vinyl catalogue on more than one phone

The shelf should not be trapped on a single handset. ViniVault follows the account, so a second phone signs in to the same records.

One account, whatever screen is nearby

A laptop is better for a long cataloguing session. A phone is better in a shop. You should not have to choose one of them forever. The shelf follows the account, so whichever screen is nearby can open it.

Sign out of a shared computer when you are done. The vault is private to the account that is signed in. The next person on that computer should see a sign-in page, not your records.

Add the home-screen icon on the phone you take to fairs and shops. The computer can stay in the browser. Both use the same sign-in. There is no second copy of the collection to keep in step.

One vault, not a pair of lists

A record added on the phone is on the shelf when you next open the laptop, once the account has saved it. You do not export and import between your own devices. If a record is missing on the second screen, you are signed into a different account, or it was never saved.

You do not need a second subscription for a second phone. Pro, if you use it, is £1.99 a month for the account. The free 100 is also per account, not per handset. Two phones do not give you two hundred free records.

How this works in ViniVault

Use the same email and password on each device. Catalogue on the screen that suits the job. Check Do I own it? on the phone before you pay for something you added on the computer last week.

A household with two collectors needs two accounts. Sharing one sign-in merges the shelves, the wants, and the value into one vault.

Questions

Do I need a second subscription for a second phone?
No. One account opens on the devices you sign in to.
Will the phones get out of date with each other?
They show the same account. Add a record on one, and it is there when you sign in on the other. There is not a separate catalogue stored only on the handset.
