Ask your own vinyl collection a question
Once the shelf is catalogued, you can ask it things you would otherwise scan by eye. ViniVault includes Ask My Collection for questions about your vault.

Questions a list can answer
Do I own this album, what did I add last, which records sit in a genre: those are questions about your shelf, not about vinyl in general. Ask My Collection answers from the vault you have catalogued.
The answers are only as complete as the catalogue. A record you have not added cannot show up. A half-finished bookcase produces a half-finished answer, which is still better than a confident one about records that are not in the account.
It will not browse someone else's collection, and it will not invent a public profile of yours. The questions stay inside your sign-in.
The quick check is still the shop tool
Do I own it? remains the check when you are holding a record and the queue is moving. Ask My Collection is for a question you can phrase at home: a genre, a recent addition, a corner of the shelf you do not want to scan by eye.
Wants live on the wishlist. Owned records live on the shelf. A question about what you have should not be answered with what you hope to buy, and the other way round. If the lists are mixed, the answer will be mixed.
How this works in ViniVault
Sign in, catalogue the records, and open Ask My Collection from Discover. Use it for the shelf you have built. Keep adding the bookcase if the answers feel thin.
A price question is still a guide. The total uses the price you typed, or a market figure, and it says how many records are included. An answer is not a valuation.
Questions
- Can I ask it about records I have not added?
- It answers from your vault. If the record is not on the shelf or the wishlist, it cannot know about it.
- Will it tell other people what I own?
- No. The vault is private. The answer is for the account that asked.
