ViniVault/Hunting
See how many records you are still hunting
Statistics shows how many records are still on your wishlist, so you can see the size of that list without opening every title.

A number with a list behind it
The count is a nudge. The list is the work. If the number keeps growing and nothing comes off, the wants are wishes, not a plan for the next shop or the next fair.
A falling number means you found them, or you admitted you would not buy them. Both are useful. A list that only ever gets longer is not a hunt. It is a mood.
The number is the size of the wishlist. It is not a score for how serious a collector you are. Ten records you would buy this month is a clearer list than a hundred you might buy one day.
Use the number to edit the list
Open the count on Statistics when you want the size without reading every title. Open the list when you are about to leave the house. Take off anything you would not buy if you saw it tomorrow.
Owned records are not in this count. A record you have collected onto the shelf has left the hunt. If the number has not moved after a purchase, the want is still sitting on the wishlist.
How this works in ViniVault
Add and remove wishlist records as the hunt changes. The Still hunting card on Statistics links back to the list. Vinyl Hunter can watch a named copy separately, and an alert still does not buy it.
The count is private, like the rest of the vault. It is not a public want list, and it is not part of the collection value.
Questions
- Does still hunting include records I own?
- No. It is the wishlist. Records on the shelf are counted with the collection, not with the hunt.
- Is a large number a problem?
- Only if you meant it to be a shopping list. Keep the long memory if you want it, and keep a shorter set of records you would actually buy.
